    The title of this thread reminded me of my Dad.  He used to say those exact words everytime I cooked a Vesta curry.

    Why?  The empty shelves referred to at the start of this thread- which concerns selling flowering plants after all - are a result of Brexit.

    But surely that is how democracy works?
    If the other side cannot be bothered to vote the majority of votes wins.
    You will also never know how many of those who didn't vote would have voted to Leave or Remain,that is speculation.
    If everybody with a vote had actually voted you may have had a higher percentage to Leave,who knows?
    You can only have a winner based on the actual votes cast at the time,not on what the non-voters may or may not have voted for,the fact is they didn't so are not counted.
    I totally agree.Iwas merely correcting the  "52% of the population" error.

    Yes, but that thread is general.  This one is about interrupted plant supplies to a shop the OP likes.
