Well customer services rearranged our delivery for tonight between 9 and 10pm. No confirmation email arrived so my wife rang again today to double check it was scheduled correctly since they did this with a previous failed delivery and the rescheduled delivery didn't turn up. They checked and it was definitely booked in. No delivery has turned up. No contact from the driver or store to let us know what is going on. Customer services are baffled but have cancelled the order and refunded the money.Ā  :|Ā  Nowhere else can deliver before the end of the week so I'll have to take time off work to pick up a click and collect from somewhere.

Hmmm if I was their manager I’d be bringing your delivery out myself along with a bunch of flowers, a box of chocolates and a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape at the very least. šŸ™„Ā

Wild Edges, I can understand you getting extremely p'd off with this saga.Ā  I've never had supermarket deliiveries, but will they leave the delivery in a 'safe place' if there is no answer?Ā  That might help although not a perfect solution.

@KT53 Ā ...Ā The majority of supermarket deliveries are now ā€˜bag-less’ which means the goods have to be unloaded individually ... they can’t leave them in bags in your garage sort of thing.Ā

Just had a voicemail from the supermarket because they're struggling to refund the money and we have to call the main customer services line to sort it out.
Nowhere has any delivery or click and collect available until the weekend so I'm going to have to brave the crowds and go in person. The only time I can go though is after the kids have gone to bed so it should be quite quiet by then. I hope they aren't doing this to people who genuinely can't go to the shops in person :/

Yes the Asda slot I've managed to get is for 9-10pm. We're fairly well stocked for most stuff at the moment we just need some fresh things to keep us going until then.

Wild Edges, I hadn't been into our local Sainsbury's for months but went round in early December.Ā  The place was nearly deserted.Ā  Went again about a week before Christmas and it was the same.Ā  That was about 10:30 am each time.Ā  I asked the lady on the till if it was always that quiet and she said it was very busy up to about 9am and then quiet again until lunchtime.Ā  Presumably people shopping on the way to work or in their lunch.Ā  Hopefully it will be quiet for you.

That’s good, I don’t think you even get out of your car when you pick it up. Ā Not at Tesco anyway.Ā
