You should be able to put branches on the skip. The soil can be piled up for distribution later when you are levelling up, I believe. The old fence can go on the skip, too.
For the branches, you could also hire a shredder to turn them into chips which could be composted, along with other organic material you need to get rid of.
n_sharma50 Do you have double yellow lines outside your house cos if not you can get a skip on the road - it will come with lights to hang on it for night-time.
A quick thought about the skip. Where I live, you can order the skip and the lorry stays while you load it then they will take it away straight away. If I remember rightly, we got 30 mins to load it and the man did help with some of the stuff. You do need to be organised (we had it all stacked up the side of our house) so it was a case of flinging it in. It was quite a lot cheaper to hire the skip this way and the plus point was that it as just our own stuff that went in. Our neighbour orderd a skip for a weekend and under cover of night time it was half filled with other people's rubbish. They had a bit of a shock the next morning.
Good idea for repurposing the fence for a compost heap.
quick update. i have so far got the rubbish piled up, surface scrapped and earth levelled. See pictures. I notice that the earth is quite solid sticky mess in parts. Is that a sign that its clay? what should be next step now.
You're doing well! It certainly looks like clay but not solid subsoil clay. All soil is improved by digging in well composted muck and for heavy soil, grit. However, you may want to plan out you planting areas and concentrate on those. For a lawn, you probably need the experts - see what others say. Well done, what a lot you have achieved!
That's some effort! Well done indeed. The next step would be to get rid of the rubbish somehow, keeping anything likely to come in useful like old paving slabs or the blockwork which could be broken up to use as hardcore under any paths or patio that you are planning. I would wait until the ground dries out however as it will compact if you walk on it while it's wet. In the meantime, you could start planning on what you want in the garden and where you want it. Good luck.
thanks. I had help from a man with digger who did all the hard work. Good point on not walking over it and yes I am looking for someone to remove all the rubbish. Nothing is worth keeping as it mixed with glass and wood and plastic. This is what I wanted to dump in a hole but based on advice here, I will get it removed.
