I think we have a "khaki pants" issue here.

I am suddenly imagining Monty as Rab C Nesbitt, complete with string "vest".

Am I correct that 'vest' is American for "waistcoat"?

The Darcy one (my favourite brand, by the way, alongside Gurteen) is lightweight and unlined so that’s not it. However I doubt that Monty sources his wardrobe in Sweden.

I see the olive coloured one is available in a chunkier size.
