@Wilderbeast , that looks better than some of the potting compost that's available these days!

Which is why I am happy to walk away from it!

After five or six years trying all sorts of methods this is the best I got and that was only maybe a third of it, the rest your more traditional lumpy stuff

Compost perfection is like lawn perfection for most people - just not worth the effort, and a constant downer.
  • Ive had  a dalek this last two years due to lack of space and the process seems too slow not being able to turn it. As soon as I find an area I'll make an open one

Go ahead and try it, I hope it works but it didn’t for me and there’s no shame in not composting :)

I admit to being quite obsessed with the compost, but keeps me sane in a household where everyone has me right at the bottom of the ladder. I'm often found muttering away to myself while turning a bin and it never ever talks back or calls me boring 🤣🤣. Most gardeners have a little thing they find compulsive but it doesn't have to be compost

     :D

The plastic bins are certainly a bit trickier for mixing easily, especially if there isn't a lot of room.

But like lawns, compost doesn't have to be perfect (fortunately  :D) and yours looks better than mine even if some of it is a bit more lumpy. Perfect for mulching or soil improvement.

Much better than most of what I've ever produced too  :)
