Sorry Hazel I was thinking of a different type of ornament altogether, yes a globe to see the world is a lovely idea,
Rosie & Lily I hope you’re not awake in the small hours tonight, Goodnight All.

    Hi folks,

Just had a quick skim through as the days have been flying by now my nose is firmly back to the grindstone. You've all been busy writing cards and creating culinary masterpieces whilst all I've got to show for this week is a whole lot of bean-counting, staring at two laptops and a completely shambolic body clock :o

I did manage to sort out my car insurance. As usual an online search got a cheaper quote than the renewal quote so I rang my current insurer to tell them not to take payment next week. Got the standard quizzing about why I don't want to renew with them. It's baffling that they don't acknowledge that some folk have got wise to their reliance on inertia to overcharge 'loyal' customers :o When I told them who I'd got a cheaper price from, further grilling about if I'd actually paid for it because they could probably match it. The poor girl must've been unable to deviate from the script as the company that she works for and the one I'd got the cheaper deal from were one and the same!

    Good morning.

Biglad, I'm glad that you sorted car insurance. I think that we all been in the same situation like you.

Here is much warmer and finally clear sky. I'll go to cottage after school. One of my students is turning 18 today, so we'll have a small celebration.

Have a nice day and see you all afternoon!

Good Morning Friends Good morning winter Good morning winter images Good morning friends
Hello Biglad, Ante and all to follow. I hear that lots of people have snow this morning. Rain here. Keep warm and well wrapped up today.
Biglad I have been in that insurance situation myself. I get so annoyed when, having been given a renewal figure and then done my own research, which I do every year, and found a cheaper price, find that suddenly my present insurance company will 'magically' manage to match it.
Ante it will be nice to recognise your student's 18th today and I hope it stays mild for your cottage visit later on. That chart is extremely helpful as it sums up everything needed to care for houseplants.

  • Good Morning Biglad, Ante & LB and all to follow,
Biglad how is working from home going? Better than a long commute but I know I’d be easily distracted. Car insurance is on my to do list for this month and will be playing the price is right game with online quotes,
Ante glad your day is warmer, hope the 18th celebration goes well and you can look forward to visiting your cottage later on. The plant winterising guide is very good thank you 🤗
LB Hope your cousin recovers well from the operation and your day gets off to a good start today apart from the rain 🙂
    Have a nice day everyone.
