Afties all. Biglad, it is good that you can work from home the rest of this year - as I remember you had a monumental journey to make to get to work. Glad you had a good sleep SGL and that you get your walk to the duckpond. I always remember those lovely pictures you posted of Poppet 1 going walking. Keep your chin up Debs. It is not a great time for many folk this Christmas. The 'sco I go to do a great job to help local charities. They have a food bank beyond the cash outs where shoppers can place purchases they make in the store. It is so easy just to pop an extra item in your shopping trolley to drop into the food bank on the way out. They also have a used book library which has been taken down at the moment for obvious reasons. Books can be brought in and you can buy them for tiny prices. Their latest scheme is for used clothing which can be left in a huge chest for sorting.
Chive my rellies are all fine. Handy brother and I have decided to have Christmas Day together because our family is so vast that we wouldn't be able to visit them as their children and grandchildren would use up the allotted 3 family spaces.

Handy hint crafters NEVER buy 3mm buttons! Needless to say I couldn't find my invisible thread, my finest needles were useless. In the end I had a brainwave. I stripped the paper off one of those wire fasteners and used the fine wire to push through the holes in the buttons (a job that required a great deal of swearing of course) and eventually got two buttons fastened to Santa's trousers. They promptly disappeared alongside the stitches which looked gigantic in comparison. Here is a picture of the washing - I still have to assemble it on the line but you will get the idea.

The two black things at the top of the picture are Santa's mitts. Mrs. Claus' stuff got in there too.

Thank you Ruby. I'm glad that they are finished - apart from pegging out.

LB it’s good that you’ll be spending Christmas Day with handy brother and enjoy each other’s company. Ā We are so lucky to have family. Ā Each Christmas I give to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home but there are so many worthwhile charities. Ā I’ve finished hanging the washing and thinking about what to cook for dinner. Ā It could be a curry. Ā Chive are you all done helping oh?

Ha ha ha Rosie. I made a beef madras curry for my dinner. I like warming food at this time of year. Its beginning to look as if I'm in for a foggy evening tonight.

Thank you Hazel and Chive. I do like knitting little things because they are finished quickly. Just got to find the tiny pegs now and I can set the string up. Oooh I knew I had something to tell you all, I had my first Christmas card yesterday. From a cousin who lives in Haltwhistle (bet its cold up there). Note to self - find sticky stuff!
