Morning Ruby and Ante. Yes Ante, the first Sunday in Advent. Where has this year gone? Its a bit warmer here this morning but set to get colder in the week. Ruby, I think we are all having 'forgot to post' moments recently. It has got to be a sign of these strange times we are living in. One bit of good news (if you can call it that!) but apparently Vitamin D has some useful properties for we 27 year olds. I'm happy to say that Vit.D along with calcium was prescribed for me several years ago so I am regularly supplied with it. Keep taking the tablets!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Got back from a week working away late on Friday. I've caught up a little on here and did a bit in the garden yesterday but think I'm going to be very busy for the next few months.
Fortunately the plan is to work from home for the rest of 2020. Wearing a face mask and constantly hand-sanitising wore thin after 5 days so I'm glad to be back at the dining table 'office' for a bit
Good morning Lily, LB, Ante, Rubee and Biglad. Biglad it’s good you can have some time working at home. No need to go out in the cold. Ante you need some porridge, a bowl of Scottish oats and milk mixed and served hot with golden syrup or honey, very warming and filling. Good your first candle now lit. LB I also take vitamin d and zinc with copper and vitamin c. Lily I hope you had a restful night.
Morning everyone Slept really well again, I'm hoping my sleep pattern has returned. Haven't peeked outside yet, but hoping for dry weather as second son will pop round later and then we can walk to the duck pond. Yesterday was beautiful weather and we walked to the duck pond with the poppets and their mummy and daddy. At least OH got to see them for awhile on his birthday. Time for breakfast. Need tea Have a lovely day everyone TTFN Will have a go at the rest of the quiz .
Good morning all. I have feeling a bit fed up recently with fiancé working away again and not really looking forward to Christmas which I usually love. My sister just sent me a list of suggested donations for the food bank we always send a parcel to at this time of year, they are asking for early donations as they are so busy. It put my petty worries about being unable to find a festive Garland or shop for Christmas cards into perspective.
When my children were small my husband was doing a law degree and money was very tight. I can empathise with those people struggling to make ends meet at a time of year when excess is everywhere. I remember adding up my shopping going around the supermarket and leaving so many things on the shelves for others to buy. I am planning to fill a box with good things tomorrow to take to the food bank and stop moaning about insignificant niggles. This December there is so much we can’t do but at least we can still be kind to others.
Good Morning All, late to rise today, LB Hope your rellies are all keeping well, has the restrictions changed for your Auzzie rellies now? Rubee Hope you have a good day ahead, how is your OH? Ante The first advent candle lit, enjoy your tea and hot buns it will be smelling good in your home, Biglad nice to see you again, sounds like this week was hard going but good that you can work from home now, Rosie very early start for you, good news about BIL hope he continues to improve, Lily it must have been lovely to see your poppets yesterday and visit the duck pond and I hope you have another lovely day today with your second son, Debs Life does grind you down and it is hard to look at the positives when you are feeling low. I think what you and your sister are doing to help those less fortunate is most kind, it does put things into perspective, I’m going to be the lovely assistant again today, helping the handyman man to wire up the stereo speakers 🎶 Have a good day everyone.
Lily enjoy your outings with family and a good walk to the duck bond. Chive enjoy being the lovely assistant helping hubby today. Debs it does put things in perspective and you’re both doing something worthwhile in the community. Hazel you finished your throw quickly. It all adds to making things homely. I’m just doing Lily’s tv and hanging the washing.

Debs, sorry you're feeling a bit down, hope you get to see your OH a bit more soon. Such a lovely thing to do, giving a selection of goodies. Is your kitchen completely finished now Debs. Chive hope the wiring doesn't take too long 😉 Hazel, that was quick with your throw, you've been very busy lately with your needles. Will be very cosy during the winter months. Rosie, I've got some washing hanging on the cloths horse in the conservatory, doesn't seem to dry very quick though 😐 Thank you everyone, it was so lovely to see the family yesterday. We are looking forward to seeing our other little one later with his mummy and daddy too. Seems a bit colder today though. Brrrrr. Have a lovely Sunday everyone
Morning all, Haven't been outside but it feels cold here too. Hubby has gone off to the supermarket and I'm just chillin' watching tv. No plans for today apart from catching up on the phone with First and Secondborn. Need to check what Nanna duties I have in the coming week. You've reminded me @debs64 I need to sort out my annual donation to the Sally Army, it was mums favourite charity and I'm continuing to donate on behalf of her. Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks.
