    Morning all,

Had another pre-work stint in the garden. The other heavy lump is out of the way now. A lot of digging left to create the border that I want but the project is progressing.

Hope you all have a good day :)

I think that I've probably got the strength of Hercule Poirot rather than Hercules, @Songbird-1 :o The edging is a touch lighter than that stone, fortunately.

Sampling as you go along is surely the main reason for doing any cooking/baking at all, isn't it? ;)

Afties all. Goodness Pauline. I do remember you telling us about that big lump at the time. It makes you wonder where they came from originally and how they got into your gardens. I watched the Unknown Warrior 100 programme commemorating Armistice Day. I reckon I waded my way through a box of tissues. Always very moving ceremonies.
Well done on the hairdressing Hazel.

I found one like Pauline's when I was digging a planting hole for a tree in the new border. Traced it back 3 feet where it was getting deeper and deeper and disappearing under the lawn. It's still there.....

    Very wise @Topbird.

I'm becoming more and more reluctant to continue digging for fear of what I may find :o

Hazel well done doing your own hair at home and all done in an hour and good oh helped.  LB i always feel very sad at the Remembrance and Armistice.  I’m not surprised you find it moving.  Pauline that is a big stone.

Hi folks,  Grey day here.  Popped out this morning to the garden centre and bought some fat balls for the birds and a few violas to add to the pots.  Lazy afternoon planned watching TV.  The wool I ordered to knit the boys cardigans has arrived but I can't decide if I like the colour or not.  It's a bit muted, think I will have to show Secondborn before I begin to knit in case she doesn't like it.  Have a good day everyone.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
