Have you ever bought anything online that exceeded your expectations? I try to be pessimistic by I'm still disappointed - and I'm not really that fussy.
The Denbigh plum tree I bought from Ian Sturrock. My experience of planting fruit trees is they'll either grow but not fruit, or fruit but not grow. The Denbigh plum has put on lots of growth, and ripened about ten good plums in its second or third year.
A few weeks ago I bought a gorgeous really thick chunky cardigan in a charity shop, but it's a "Next", when I buy stuff normally, I check what it's made of. I have just been to the Post Office to send a parcel to Germany only to be told all deliveries to mainland Europe are temporarily suspended due to, in their words “you know what”. I had no idea. And I am cross for the wasted journey.
My guess is that mail to Germany normally goes in the hold of passenger planes (most of the hold space takes freight not luggage), and Germany has banned passenger transport from the UK. No planes, no mail.
