Don't want to be depressing but some trolls are very persistent.   There was one who stuck around for over 10 years before the management of this forum moved from BBC to GW magazine.   I did warn them at the time but it was another year or two before he finally stopped.

Fine for posters who've been around long enough to recognise their style but upsetting for new people and those who just use the forum as it is intended.

You say 'over 10 years'! How long has this forum being going @Obelixx ?

I've been here since about 2005, maybe earlier.  @Palustris even longer.  It has been thru several incarnations of technology and format in that time.

  • I sympathize with Angelicant. I use mobile devices exclusively to browse this forum. On my phone, especially, the layout of the mobile site places the "like" button right under where my thumb naturally falls to scroll up the page. My thumb seems magnetically attracted to it...

My thumb is attracted to the quote function. Once that grey box gets into the response space it stays there like the residue from a price sticker.

If you don’t post your misplaced quote it will come up in your drafts, just go there and delete it.

Well, I've just sent my first text from my new smartphone - I've only had it for 3 months!

My twenty year old washing machine has died.👻
Whilst negotiating JL website ( my stupidity) I nearly bought 2 machines and took so long about it,I lost the next day delivery option😕. Will have to wait till next week for it now. But at least there'll only be one arriving!
