I've ordered raspberry canes from Victoriana nursery.I've not seen that name crop up on here so i thought i'd chance it.Just hope they're better than the three rhubarb crowns they sent;bit small for the price.

The canes are (hopefully!) on their way but MD has got me wanting to add Ruby Beauty to the collection. They're out of stock at Ken Muir and Chris Bowers don't seem to sell them.

Can anybody recommend any other likely reliable sources?

They stock it here, but it's out of stock just now. Worth a look though

The problem with lots of stuff that's recommended is that it gets sold quickly, but I think at this time of year, lots of stuff will be out of stock, especially this year.

Agreed @Fairygirl. I'm going to have to show a bit of patience :o

Thanks for the latest link though :)

Perthshire grows some of the best raspberries [and strawberries]  in the world - they have great conditions for them.  :)

Well the Polka canes were on their way on Weds 2nd Dec, Sat 5th, Mon 7th, Tues 8th, Weds 9th and again today.

According to the DHL tracking site, the expected delivery date is still Weds 2nd but I'm stop number 87 on the driver's itinerary for today. He set off with them at 10.40am. I know because they told me this 2 hours prior to that :o

They can travel into the past and see into the future but, apparently, can't access a property that the local sheep can :D

Technology should not be used if the end result is akin to chucking paint at a wall.

The 5 Polka canes have been in the ground for nearly 3 months. Three of them look exactly as they did when they arrived - dead twigs. Two have sprouted tiny new growth but don't look very healthy. I'm still naffed off that it took over 3 weeks between leaving the nursery and arriving with me. That can't of done them any good if they weren't looked after properly during that time:(

I know that it has been during the winter/dormant period, but, in comparison, other fruit-bearing plants are looking far better.

I can feel another pointless complaint going in to DHL. Just so I can receive some more of their atrocious customer service.
