T&M raspberry canes

BigladBiglad Posts: 3,265
One of those annoying adverts (that cater to your anticipated weaknesses  :o) has popped up on facebook - 12 raspberry canes ('Autumn Bliss') for a total price of £16.99.

Please can someone tell me why I shouldn't  ;)

    Because ‘Polka’ are better 😋

At a pound per cane, what could possibly go wrong d-fab?  ;)

I hear what you’re saying @Biglad ... but it’s a long term planting ... I’d find it seriously annoying if every time I picked raspberries I was wishing they were Polka not Autumn Bliss.

But some people find AB perfectly fine ...

I'm on the checkout page d-fab - I was banking on the voice of reason but, as I'm not sophisticated enough to know the difference, I'm on the edge and about to jump :o

My understanding is that T&M are generally regarded as an acceptable source on here and we're entering the recommended planting season for raspberries?

I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole for something like that.  :)
I'd go to a reputable outlet that specialises in fruit. Chris Bowers or Ken Muir for example.

You're not even paying that much more from them, and they'll be guaranteed good quality.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    There you go!  :)

For some reason (probably being a dopey, owd fella ;))  I think I've allocated positive feedback to the wrong company and thus have a higher opinion of T&M than a small amount of proper research on here would have generated  :o

Thanks d-fab - you've saved me £16.99 and, potentially, years of regret.

Fairy said what I would have said if I’d had a second coffee. 👍
