Sunny, chilly morning so had a scratch at the back lawn and cleared a load of leaves.

Pulled up the last of the french bean plants, which garnered a mighty final harvest of 3 beans  ;)

Hello all - a few heavy showers today so I'm getting on with paperwork....

Chive - hope they fill in the hole in your drive before it gets dark - or at least put some barriers round it! Will the gas be back on in time to cook dinner?

Here's my go at the quiz:

A huge and very black cloud drifted over here so I had to make a quick dash to bring in my cloth things. Just as I got the last things off the line the rain started.
By the way, Al is very worried about the ceilings in his tunnels collapsing. Especially near to you and T'Bird Chive.

Wow Biglad, I'm assuming you did get a few more beans off your plants through the season????

Biglad not what you’d expect at all.  Never mind.

Yes @Ladybird4 - they've been on their last legs for a while so I was giving the last few tiny beans a chance. Not had great success with them but there's a bag in the freezer of the accumulated dribs and drabs.

    Afternoon,
Hazel They work until about 6.00pm that I’ve seen, it looks like they’re clearing up outside now so I hope that means our bit is nearly done,
T’bird 😀 lots of barriers around, after seeing how deep the hole went I’m pleased about that. Gas should be back on for hot water and heating tonight, we cook all electric fortunately. How is your hot water situation now is it resolved?
LB Lucky escape with the weather, nicely timed grab of the washing.
Poor Al must have been a bit disruptive for him, mustn’t stop him transporting goodies for us 😉
Biglad you’ve done well I’ve not touched my garden properly for ages, either the weather or time stops play,

Hot water is doing ok thanks Chive 🤞- don't want to jinx it though! A few new bits fitted to the system on Monday to help it work better.

We had a new soak away installed about 3 years ago and there was a huge 2m deep hole in the driveway overnight. It was 31st October and it could have been a very nasty surprise for any Trick or Treaters.

Fortunately our (no through road, no street lamps, very few houses, lots of high hedges) country lane is way too spooky for most tricky treaters to even think about walking down!👻
