I think there's a need to understand how and why moulds and fungus of any kind appear. @Pete.8 has given some good descriptions there in his recent post. If you lost plants @htyas, it's more likely that the conditions they were growing in didn't suit them, rather than any mould organism causing it.

That's right @Fairygirl As I mentioned above, slime moulds consume other fungi, yeasts and bacteria that may harm plants, so they effectively give added protection to nearby plants, they will not harm living plants.
