No flowers on bulbs

Every year for the past 20 years the rockery had a nice display of crocus and tulips.  This year there seems to be no flowers.  Advice please

I assume this photo was taken earlier in the year as crocus flower in spring.
Tulips don't last forever as well.

    I'm slightly confused too!
They look very congested anyway, so probably need some thinning out.
Tulips don't reliably return, apart form the species ones, and they need the right conditions to keep performing and naturalising.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

No  - taken this evening when I was clearing up in the gardern - I  am confused to - I am tempted to pull them up and replant - can't understand why they have come out now.

I'm not sure those are even crocus.  :)

    Grape hyacinth?
I have green thumbs and no aphids on my roses.
  • Thanks - advice as to what to do - dig up and replant - or what?

Yes- something like that @Liz.Spr - they take over very readily.  :)

If you don't want, or like,  them, take them out. Simple  :)

They do look like grape hyacinths which are a real pain to dig out as they go down quite a way. I speak from experience as l have been digging some out today. I would try and get out as many as you can as they will take over even more than they have already.
  • but why have they sent the stalks up now - if they don't flower till the Spring!
