Hello @Nollie and thank you  :)
I have some of the plants you mention and I think some will be planted in my new garden too.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Thank you @Sarinka:) the only trouble is i ordered from a wholesaler that has a minimum order of 10 iris.... it didn't stop me though,  even though my boarder is completely jam packed full!

I've started being more selective and taking out plants that I'm not totally in love with but just had their spot because they live. Now I'm only growing things i adore! As I'm a gardener for a living,  I divide my plants,  take cuttings and grow them on.  That way my customers have access to what I call bomb proof plants! Which helps me as they aren't great at watering and deadheading!

I take photos through the year to see at what times things could do with more colour,  then focus on keeping the seasonal interest.
Sounds very organised but its not  is a wildlife garden.

I'm a no dig style gardener unless I'm cramming another plant in!
I use no spray,  no pellets, no feed,  nothing at all.  I just cut and drop the trimmings into the flower bed and let the worms plough it in!
I feed birds all year and hedgehogs and also have a wildlife pond so the hogs,  frogs and toads deal with slugs and snails and the birds look after greenfly and aphids etc. Its a team effort with me and the wildlife!  :D
