What is eating my Cotoneaster berries (and leaving all this mess!)

  I'd go with hedgehog by the shape and size of the poo. It depends if there is a straight forward way to get up to the roof. Hedgehogs can climb steps.

  Hedgehogs are good climbers, not straight up vertical walls etc, but if there is a stepped route as Fire says, they can get up to a good height .
