I was amazed on my school run this morning to see a squirrel run across the road carrying a hedgehog do they actually eat hedgehogs

    I thought there was going to be a punchline here :/  Was it a green hedgehog?

    Squirrels will raid nests taking chicks and eggs. They are opportunists so will take advantage of any carrion they find. I doubt they could kill a hedgehog though and I can't imagine how they would carry a live one in its defensive ball form.

    The best computer game ever made was called Conker's Bad Fur Day and was about an alcoholic squirrel who woke up in a strange place with a terrible hangover and you had to help him find his way home. Crossing a busy road carrying a hedgehog sounds exactly like something Conker would do.

    If it doesn't exist, it should. I remember a game with a bad-tempered knight who tramped around whacking things with his broadsword. I enjoyed it especially if I was feeling ratty myself
