Hi LB.Ā It will be just short visit and check up and I'll be free.Ā I just saw on other site that people making C*****s cakes and soaking fruits.Ā Did you start with your cake.Ā If I remember correctly from last, you always make two of them.
Afternoon everyone,Ā LB That sounds like a very pleasant trip to the SM, itās nice when it all goes to plan, Ante Yes you are right we are all in the same pot, just need to adapt with the changes. Good luck with the dentistĀ later, any cinnamon buns left by any chance? Just asking šš Rubee So frustrating that you canāt get your oven wired in today, never mind it canāt be helped and a good excuse not to cook š Right must do a few bits before I get too settled, enjoy your afternoon.Ā
Ante, I haven't even thought about my C*******s cakes yet. I usually aim to have them made by the end of October. I had better get a wriggle on and add dried fruits to my next shopping list. Thank you for reminding me Ante.

Well done on your preparation for your new boiler Hazel. Before you know it the job will be done, just leaving you with the clearing up but it will be well worth it in the end.

Well, I'm back.Ā It was routine visit and over quickly.
Chive,Ā sorry but there wasn't any leftovers. They were very hungry.
Thanks Hazel.Ā I usually make them something every week, and in this new condition this is important to some pupils.Ā We have new rules and when we come in the school we can't go out until the all classes ended.Ā Every group have they own classroom and they can go out only to toilet.Ā If somebody forget to take food or water with them it's huge problem.Ā And so on and on, you can imagine all difficulties.
Glad the routine dentist visit is over Ante and now the evening is all your own. I can only imagine the nightmare schools have become. I used to use wire strippers when I was teaching but at home I just use a stanley knife to score around the wire sheathing and then pull it off using pliers. Luckily that is not a job that has to be done frequently.

Back from the nursery. Bought a choisya, a white cistus, a couple of different eryngiums (one rather exotic looking), and 4 geranium Macrorrhizum White Ness. I also have eryngiums, verbena bon., cyclamen and ox eye daisies grown from seed this summer. All plants that might cope with the desert conditions in the front border.Ā
Now I'm going to order a drip line and accessories to run under both the 'just hanging on' part of the front hedge and also the replacement hedging plants which will be planted in a few weeks time. Fingers crossed that if I keep it fed, weeded and watered there might once again be a front hedge!
Wouldn't need a drip line today - it's been wet through all day. On the plus side that meant there were only 2 other customers at the nursery. The nursery is a 50 minute drive but they have such a good selection of plants and such knowledgable staff that it's worth the effort. Parking is a nightmare and there's no loo, coffee or smelly candles so only keen gardeners make the journey.š
Ante - glad the dentist trip went okĀ
Rubee - you just know you'll find the old wire strippers when you're putting the new ones away....!š¬
Hazel - good luck with the boiler. Hate having workmen in the house but it'll be worth it when you're nice and toasty this winter.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hi T'Bird, you have got an excellent swag bag of plants there. Glad that you got your White Ness. I always get erygiums and echinops confused. I've got a good clump of the latter in my garden and the bees adore them.
