It’s been raining in NE England for weeks but fine today hurrah. So out into the garden I went. I did toil for hours then mid afternoon I sat on a garden bench with a cup of coffee. I have to say I admired my September Charm in full flower. It’s a constant war of attrition here, the undergardener who is chief weeder calls it Japanese Enemy. We’ve jam packed herbaceous borders which now run almost wild. It’s impossible to dig out so all we can do is pull it out where and when we can, but today in the sunshine in full flower it did look attractive.
