Found this on the wheelie bin this morning

Does anyone know what this is? Found it on the wheelie bin this morning after a night of heavy rain

It doesn’t look like it came from the rear end of anything if that’s of any comfort to you😁

Looks a bit like a squashed dishwasher tablet 🤔

That would account for the pink bit but what about the black? 🤔
  • Apparently it’s from a child’s arts and crafts toy that is supposed to be baked in the oven! Genuinely thought it was some kind of animal dropping 😂

That's better than what I found on my garden waste bin a few weeks ago.  There was a label saying it hadn't been emptied because it was too heavy.  Of course it was heavy, they hadn't emptied the damn thing for 6 weeks and was full of grass clippings.
I ended up transferring part of the content to bags and putting it in the non-recyclable bin.

I worried about that at the start of the year as it hadn't been emptied since 2018! It was pretty heavy, full and smelly  :open_mouth: (I hadn't got round to paying the new annual charge in 2019).

With permission I put a bit of it in NDN's bin and both were collected. With the amount of time spent in the garden this summer (and deciding to remove/reduce a number of plants/trees), it gets pretty full most fortnights. I struggled to get it to the pavement on one occasion and hung around to see the surprise on the face of the young man trying to get it to the wagon. Fair play though - no stickers! He just saw it as a challenge  ;)

How do they know it's too heavy?..but more to the point how are you supposed to know? And what weight should it be?...not that you can weigh it.
And I guess it wasn't too heavy for you to wheel outside your house.
    Bloody councils...

I figure if little old lady me can move it 20 ft to the kerb,  the big strong lads they have on bin moving duty should be able to move it the remaining 6 ft to the bin lorry.
