UPVC windows save a lot of work painting, large plastic pots are affordable where the equivalent in terracotta wouldn't be, I rather like forsythia and orange flowers in the right place (not together though),Christmas just have to have coloured lights, and the occasional microwave meal is convenient. I guess that makes me a snob.

Agree about large plastic pots but I also like large ceramic pots when I find them in sales.   Terracotta is only fine if you don't have heavy frosts and don't mind them growing moss when wet.

    I’m a slob, I know.

    But a tolerant slob.
I'm perfectly tolerant of other folk liking things I don't, ( even though they're wrong lol )

Yep, you chaps can have all of that stuff and as much as you like but I just don't want it here.

I occasionally put the television on during the day to see if there’s anything worth recording on the night,  all I see is programmes about other people’s rubbish such as flog it or roadshow,  picking holes in other people’s houses in changing house or relocating,  or quiz games so we can prove to each other how clever we are.
no tv for us, especially the BBC.

The world would be a much worse place without the BBC and it seems very much as though this is what the current government wants to see.

Really? The BBC have lost the plot.Completely out of touch. And very biased.
biased against, and in favour of whom?
