Roses (Morning Mist if only one variety allowed), ox-eye daisies and Stipa gigantea
If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.”—Marcus Tullius Cicero East facing, top of a hill clay-loam, cultivated for centuries (7 years by me). Birmingham
Roses (modern shrub - repeat flowering), foxgloves and hardy geraniums (one of those for nearly any location). If I'm allowed another couple it would be viburnums and hostas. Gotta love a good variety of brunnera and aquilegias too - and the scent of dianthus is so evocative.... And a carpet of snowdrops is a sight to behold....
Impossible task!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hmm, I want six! Roses, gaura and purple salvias for the front tasteful border and dahlias, agastache and heleniums for a riotous clash of colours out back.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
