Thanks. Yes i do realise it is a big project, do want to make a start asap. Am very eager and fired up in becoming self sufficent. I am reading up more about this subject simultaneously to typing this thread.
It is going to be a lot of work, but do want to really give it my best.
Don't think this has been thought through .... what will happen if you spray the whole ten acres and kill everything off? You will have ten acres of mud ... no plants to soak up winter rain etc. Winds will blow weedseeds in from other land and in the spring they'll all grow and you'll have ten acres of weeds that will need spraying again.
Please take advice now before you waste a lot of money and effort ... we're not talking through our hats ... many of us have run smallholdings and managed quite large areas of land. We do know what we're talking about.
In my earlier post above I've linked you to several appropriate sources of advice and help.

Thanks! Crops for myself. Probably not all the land, but do want to become self sufficent if possible.
It sounds to me like you want to jump before you've learned how to walk. If you're a beginner in growing crops you're better off to start small to get some experience, the self sufficiency goal is admirable but if you're in the UK can't imagine it would be possible with the fairly short growing season, but if you're happy to eat root vegetables for four months of the year...may get near it. I appreciate your urge to do it quickly...but maybe contact any local small holders and get to shadow them for a while to see what it entails in practice.
Spraying 10 acres with chemicals really isn't the answer. I doubt very much if anybody on this forum will recommend that as a way forward for you. Farmers do not spray weedkiller everywhere as it would have a negative impact on the environment. You really need to be educating yourself on land management and farming/small holding methods BEFORE you do anything!
... Have read about Round up Gallup Glucophosphate
How do you propose applying it? You can't do it with a watering can. Ten acres is too much for a backpack sprayer. You need a tractor and mounted sprayer like this https://martinlishman.com/tractor-mounted-sprayers/
You need to get an agricultural contractor in to do it, then they can supply the weedkiller to and you'll get agricultural strength and prices. Hopefully you might listen to advice from them if you won't listen to us.

It doesn't matter how 'eager and fired up' you are @qaz5667 - you have to think about the reality of it. People here have given good information. It would be wise to take heed of it.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Hire an agricultural contractor to come in , spray it with appropriate weedkiller with the proper equipment, experience and certification to spray chemicals.
