Cut off the leaves with critters attached and throw it on the ground. Something will eat them
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • I'm too frightened that they might survive - I squish them!

Pick them off, the birds will eat them if you put them on the feeder.

I've double bagged the leaves in the rubbish bin.  :D
I've not seen them before in the garden. I do not want to start hosting them now.

I do the cut leaf thing because  don't want to touch them😒

Don't let them go on the ground, they will stay in the soil and pupate over winter ready for next year. Be brave @B3 and put a glove on and take them off   :)
  • I can completely understand the double bagging and the cut leaf/avoiding touching! They are revolting. Important not to let them get into the ground to pupate...

Also watch out for the adult females - bright yellow flies that attach to the stems and excavate a burrow to lay their eggs - I've picked off a lot at this stage as well.

Sorry, I know more about rose saw fly than I ever knew I needed!
