Thirst.   Give it 5 litres of water a day, poured slowly so it soaks in, and repeat till mid September.   It's no use giving small dribbles of water as you want it to send its roots down deep to sustain its future growth rather than stay up near the surface where they will frazzle when it's dry or hot.

Clear the soil around it to reduce competition for water and nutrients.   Once the soil is moistened by autumn rains, give it a good mulch of some well-rotted manure and/or garden compost.  Next year, make sure it is watered in a similar fashion during any dry spells.

I hope so.   You might also want to consider removing that cane and giving it a decent support because that stem will harden and thicken and you'll never get the cane out if you leave it too long.

Have a look at the trunk on this one we inherited when we moved here nearly 4 years ago.

I have no idea how old this one is but yours will get there given enough watering and feeding in the early years.   I have another well established one on a south facing wall that is almost as big and just has gravel at its feet so no feeding/mulching/watering but it is kept properly pruned in February and July and that seems to be enough.

https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=242 for yours next February and July.

I planted one in my last garden, in Belgium, that had about that much sun and it did well, probably because it shared a bed with a clematis so got regular feeds and watering.  By the time we moved, nearly 4 years ago, it was starting to have a second flush of flowers later in summer so I expect yours will too in a few years.

There was a whopper on the west facing wall of an old abbey near where we lived before that didn't get sun till after 2pm and always flowered beautifully so good light and care is as important as direct sun.

Here we have inherited 2.  The one in the photo faces east and gets the sun from around 9am until about 3pm.  The other faces south but is set back from the main house wall so gets sun from 11ish to 7pm or so.   It flowers marginally earlier but only by a couple of days.
