    Thanks, maybe it is a climbing aster then??!
    No it's a clematis - as the others have said 



    This is a "climbing aster".

    That’s my first thought too.

    Yes - it could be one of the florida types, now going over, or 'Multi Blue', which is very common, and has that 'double' flower.

    I inherited  one here. Horrible thing.  :#
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I haven't seen the flower before not that I know much about Clematis. I don't think all types climb but yours seems to want to.

    Hope you find out what it is and what best to do :)

  • Thanks @Victoria Sponge I suppose if I’m not hugely keen on it and it’s not doing well where it is there’s no harm experimenting and moving it.
