I'm forever loosing my wooden handled trowel and fork as the wooden handles blend into the surrounding plant life. So I bought some fluorescent yellow nail varnish and painted stripes on the handles - I've had the same fork and trowel for 5 years now

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
It's also good for painting over weeping knots in timber, stopping a ladder in your tights and would possibly stop the writing from washing off your plant labels.
I would like to have secateurs and scissors for different parts of the garden and then I leave them there in a weather proofed box when done. Sometimes I don’t intend to garden but when I’m there I see something that needs doing so it’s handy to have something close by. Easier not to lose if you can then stick it back in nearest box rather than carry it on to another job if you don’t need it.
