People you enjoy watching on television are not necessarily the coves you would like living next door. Better they are someone else's neighbours. To have good neighbours, you need to be a good neighbour. It's all about compromise. Some of the suggestions didn't get where they are by compromising
Sorry, simply don't agree. What about poor people with asbo neighbours?
People who, in real life, are not as they come across on the screen - now there’s a good subject for discussion. A friend who used to work in the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam often had to interact with celebrity visitors. Two characters who were far up themselves, perhaps rather surprisingly, were Nigel Hawthorne and Derek Jacobi. And as for Sandra Bullock - a prima donna with knobs on. In complete contrast Tom Conti was the nicest, most down to earth person imaginable.
If you fancy an entertaining 20 minutes or so, ask a London cabbie if he’s picked up anyone famous recently. They take little prompting to spill the beans. The last one had a very low opinion of Thieri Henri (“the upshot of that is I ‘ate Arsenal now”), Elaine Paige (“Where to, love?” “Don’t you love me. Don’t you know who I am?” “Err ... Lulu?”) and Hugh Grant (“It’s none of your business who I am. Your job is to drive the taxi.” “Yeah, you’re quite right. It’s my taxi and you’re getting out now.”).
I worked in a High Commission where slebs needed to get a working visa. If they were obnoxious, i would ask them for their stage name. . No " Do you know who I am " issues😊
Well personally I still really enjoy the show as a relative, but extremely enthusiastic, gardener I have used the program to help develop our large garden. We watch every week and have done for years, it's an hour of TV which takes me away from doom and gloom to a nice tranquil place. Some people say monty is a show off with huge garden but clearly Rachel de Thame and Adam Frost have equally massive plots. I like nearly all the presenters though sometimes I don't get some of the segments, as a beginner I have definitely used the show to help me with what and when to do things learning to divide, take cuttings, sow seed and much more directly from the program. The dogs definitely have too much attention though that must be an editorial decision, clearly the same with Adam's cat. I also like Monty's style of claustrophobia within his beds with mine crammed to a point of survival of the fittest, but I also love Adam's more open garden. What device's I think is that we only see a small fraction of the presenters gardens, large areas of Monty's aren't shown and also the same with Adam's, Rachel's etc. Anyway I'm sure they try to provide for all but fail to achieve, thankfully I've found great help from you gardener's on this forum (it's the only social media I'm involved with and keep my participation secret from all but Mrs Wilderbeast) and have also loved passing on some my very small knowledge. 530am now and I'm off looking for cuttings now 🤣🤣

Interesting, usually people that have 'got in' on a wing and a prayer, act in this 'third rate' way.How amazing - waiting for my cab, I once asked the lovely doorman to name his favourite guest ( smart hotel ) TOM CONTI he said without hesitation! Elaine would do well to learn from LULU, another kindly artist. The day of the celeb, is over!Virologists and similar, are the new 'bright new things' - Chris Witty has gained ELVIS status!😁⭐️

Adore London cab drivers - they do more for London than any landmark. Many a truelly interesting conversation I have had with a cabbie on route to my destination.
