Can anyone ID this bush

    No it can't be controlled that way @Ilikeplants, it spreads by suckering which like bamboo, it sends strong shoots underground and pops up in the middle of other shrubs.  I found it surviving in my overgrown garden when i moved in (competing with brambles) and not knowing what it was, potted up a bit and put it behind the shed then forgot about it.  It rooted through the bottom of the plastic pot and spread.

    Well I got rid of it in my garden and it really wasn't that difficult. Just a matter of persistence
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Oh it's gone now, I didn't even find it attractive.  Only kept a bit cause I didn't know what it was.

    it’s not unattractive if it stayed where it was but I think I’ll try digging it up too. Think it spreads by flower seeds as well as suckers?
