Morning SGL, Chive and T'Bird. I'm sorry all the places of interest are shut T'Bird. It sounds like a lovely gathering despite the bitter sweet occasion. I'm looking forward to a chippy supper one day. Enjoy your lunch today. It sounds special.
p.s. Off to see Bestie today and St Swithin is living up to the folklore!

Ha ha - Son of a gun - of course! Well done to your OH Lily!Ā

Sorry LB - we’ve had 2 chippy teas this holiday.🤭 The one on Saturday was particularly good - not too heavy & super meaty fish. Had to Q in the street for half an hour for them but they were worth the wait.

Afternoon all, Happy Birthday Rosie.Ā  Haven't done much today as I'm a bit tired after looking after the boys yesterday.Ā  I've got the girls tomorrow and then on Saturday I'll be going across to see the boys and Secondborn again.Ā  They will then be isolating for 7 days before going up to the Lakes to visit their other grandparents.Ā  Firstborn and the family are off on hols for 3 weeks from Saturday so it will be quiet for us.Ā Ā  Garden looking good, a few weeds to sort out and deadheading to do but thatĀ  can wait for a few days.Ā  Hope everyone is OK.

Afties all. Ruby, you snuckered in there. I was puzzled by Rosie's post and had to go back a page to see the picture you had posted. Had a great time at my Bestie's we mainly talked about knitting as she is about to start knitting a cardigan for her granddaughter. It was too wet to go outside. T'Bird, I'm just a teensy bit jealous of your chippy suppers! Pretty dahlia Hazel. Lovely contrast between the flower colour and the foliage. Yvie, you have been a busy bee but quiet times to look forward to, charging up your batteries.

I had to go back and look too LB, hadn't seen Rubees post either.
    Lovely Dahlia Hazel.Ā
I've not really done much today, moved a couple of Astilbes, they didn't seem to like where they were. Dead headed a few plants and that's about it really. Feeling very lethargic today.Ā
Been very overcast all day, but now the sun is shining and it looks gorgeous outside.

Hazel and Yvie thank you for the flowers and lovely message. Ā I’ve just had a baileys and there will be cake later and my sister is visiting.
