Geranium Rozanne

I bought a Geranium Rozanne last year, which I know is sterile.  It is putting out the typical Geranium pointy seedheads.  Should it be doing this?  Have I been mis-sold a different hybrid?

    That’s what they do, they won’t grow from seeds though.
    They’re very untidy plants, I’m about to cut mine down to the ground, I can’t remember if they bloom again.

    Thanks @Lyn  The plant is very prostrate, only growing across the ground like a carpet.  Does that happen with them when they are very young?  I had expected it to grow more upright, but perhaps that only happens when they are a more mature plant.

    Love the informality, @BenCotto.  What's the dark red flower in the second photo, please?
    My Rozanne came with me from Yorkshire last October as a small division, and is now nearly a metre across.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    That’s Petunia Tidal Wave Red Velour. I think there are four cuttings taken from one of last season’s overwintered plants in the large plant pot. Geranium Patricia as well as Rozanne can be seen in that photo - I was slightly apprehensive about whether the colours would gel but I think they harmonise.

    They do a bit, but not many flowers later, unless that’s just mine😀.
    At the moment I’ve hoiked it up in one of Monty Dons bar supports.  I’m hoping it will behave like the others and get another good flush.

    With so many cultivars with much nicer colours Rozanne is one of those mysteries for me...really don't get why it's so popular. To my eyes it's too blue and the flower is too large...just compare it to the gorgeous deep colour of Ann Folkard for instance.
