    Morning everyone.Ā

Rubee - I hope you have an easier day today.

Hazel - enjoy spending time with your mum

LB - cricket is not my game at all but I always quite enjoy having the radio test match commentary on in the background whilst lazing on a sunny day - but more for the banter between the commentators than anything else. I imagine I would not like the very opinionated Mr Boycott very much if I met him in real life - but I do find some of his exchanges very funny. That dry Yorkshire wit which I married into.

Chive - you at work today? I wonder how they will start dealing with the children when the weather is less conducive to outdoor play?

Speaking of weather - it's persisting down here. Never complaining about the rain - we need every drop we can get - but I could do to cut the grass before we go away... I'll be Mrs Looney of Barkinghamshire cutting the grass in the rain at this rate🤨

Morning all, I'm going to complain about the weather Topbird.Ā  I'm sick of the rain now and need some sunshine to cheer me up.Ā  It's too wet to get in the garden.Ā  Yesterday it never stopped all day and we have already had one heavy shower this morning.Ā  On a more positive note Secondborn and the boys are coming over this afternoon.Ā  My neice was also due to pop in but has cancelled as she cannot see mum due to the weather (they have to meet outside).Ā  I'm sure she will rearrange again if and when the weather improves.Ā
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better Rubee.Ā  Hope everyone enjoys their day.

    Afternoon,
LB Must admit we don’t follow cricket, but like T’bird it is one of those pleasant background noises I like to hear,
I’m pleased you are feeling a little better Rubee,
Yes T’bird I am still working very short hours, luckily we were able to go outdoors the weather held off for us today. If it was too wet they would stay in their classroom and we would put a film on for them. Hope you managed to get your grass cut it’s nice to have everything done before you go away,Ā
Yvie I hope you have a nice afternoon with your family,Ā
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.Ā

LB I love the Snoopy and Woodstock cartoon, it brings back memories. Ā I had a Snoopy years ago wearing a red t shirt. Ā I think I bought it from Spoils which was a home and kitchen shop and reasonable prices, sadly closed decades ago. Ā Yvie you’ll enjoy a lovely visit from secondborn and the boys. Ā Chive it will be lovely for you to see mum more regularly. Ā Hazel I hope you have a good journey and you both have a good visit, take care. Ā I’ve just finished the i*****g and watching Impossible. Ā Topbird Mr Boycott doesn’t seem women friendly, although he married. Ā Have a good day.

    Afternoon everyoneĀ
It's been absolutely hissing down here all day. Very dark and so very cold.
Glad you're feeling better today Rubee. Take care.
I started this about 2 hours ago.
    The phone hasn't stopped ringing.
Hope the weather was kind to you Hazel and you had a lovely catch up with your mum.

    Still raining. šŸ™„

Hello everyone. I just haven't stopped today. Discovered I had a mice problem under my kitchen sink so I had to turf everything out to clean up and i have to tell you I found it very difficult getting down on my knees and once getting down there and cleaning out the top and bottom of the cupboard it was awful trying to get up again. I have to 'fess up that I have discovered I am a compulsive buyer of bleach, disinfectant sprays and liquids, plug and drain cleaners and Marigolds. I had no idea! Anyway, it meant I could cross off the bleach from next weeks shopping list. All the dusters I wanted to keep have been washed and I am not going to keep any of those under the sink any more (looked like the meeces had built a nest in some of the ones I chucked out). I am a cricket fan but you are right, the commentaries are often the best bits. Brian Johnston and Jonathan Agnew used to have me in fits (giving my age away now!) Anyhoo, I'm going to post today's quiz. If I don't get chance to see you T'Bird, have a wonderful time!
