Wilting peony

Early indication of wilt is yellowing of the leaves.  If this was the case, then your picture is likely demonstrating wilt and transplant shock.  Trim foliage completely off, maintain planting depth and water and feed.  Keep a close eye on any new foliage that develops, if it yellows, browns and wilts again, your better off binning it and also bin the soil.

Did you fertilize it when repotting?  Either with a granular feed, liquid, or compost with fertilizer?  Peonies are very sensitive to fertilizer when just getting into growth, so I've heard (on Gardeners Question Time, I think).   I've always been careful to not feed mine until the flower buds appear.

Don't worry,  we're all on a learning curve, even those of us who have been gardening for quite some time.
Cut the leaves down etc. and cross your fingers  :)

I'm not sure that would have caused that kind of damage though. I don't feed mine much at all, just a tiny sprinkle of B,F&bone in spring, but ours don't really start appearing here at all until end of March/April, apart from the rubra one which just does it's own thing.
Have you a photo of all of them @rafwood, or any other info?  It would be good to try and get to the bottom of the problem if possible  :)
I still think it might be wilt, and you maybe haven't seen it starting, but it would be good to rule out any other options.

I don't like to blow my own trumpet, but am going to do it anyway 😁
Have a look here to see how peonies can revive,  hopefully the same will happen to yours.

Oh - I forgot about your 'mystery plant' @AnniD, and it was only a week ago when you updated!
It was lovely to see it coming away and flowering  :)
