Fantastic!  No other word for it ... simply fantastic!  It looks great, works well in that space and obviously functions well too. And as someone who used to be involved in a building business, I’m very impressed that your carpenter got that done in that time-frame ... obviously a gem.
Very very pleased for you. Inspirational 😎

What a fantastic achievement, well done. Now the terrace is finished and the garden is getting sorted you should have plenty of time to consider the most important decision of all: do you serve scones with cream on the jam or jam on the cream? And does the word rhyme with cone or con? The French will need educating about the social pitfalls of making wrong choices here.

Looks amazing @D0rdogne_Damsel.  Felt quite out of breath just following the whirlwind progress.  But you and the team did it, and so lovely to see happy smiling faces enjoying the opening.  Keep us posted on the new flowerbeds as they progress 😀🌸🌼🌻😀

Amazing result and what a lot of work! No wonder the carpenter had to keep on going till the last minute. Was thinking of you all day Friday and wondering how it was all going. So pleased it was a great success! Well done you!

Oh! Wow! That looks absolutely fantastic DD - very, very smart and an excellent extension for your thriving tearooms.
I remember when you first started dreaming of your new business and all the hoops you had to jump through even to buy and convert the property. So many hours of toiling (literally) day and night, a few wobbles and tears - but your tenacious spirit and sheer gutsy hard work and determination has paid off. You have built something to be very proud of. I hope the B&B side is doing well too.
Good luck in this new phase of your business. Will definitely visit when we're next in that part of the world.

Thank you everybody, so lovely to see my vision come alive, worth all the hard work and worry (easy to say now).

It certainly has been a very emotional journey @Topbird

@BenCotto, we are very open minded here in the Tearoom and serve the scones on a little plate with a butter dish, a pot of jam and a pot of cream on the side so they can do with it whatever they wish - we make no comment, possibly just a slight raise of the eyebrow when someone does it 'wrong'.

I have closed the B&B for now, the regulations are too stringent and actually with just the one room the revenue isn't worth the hassle. It leaves me free to concentrate on the Tearoom, which was full again today by midday!  :open_mouth:

These are the little plants I have put in the redundant compost corner, poor things more or less got thrown in at the last minute, I still have more to find, the Daphne I wanted was 40€ here, a tiny little thing too, I couldn't bring myself to pay that - what if it died, they are fussy those Daphne...Anyway, we'll see how it all grows. :)

It's looking absolutely fantastic, @D0rdogne_Damsel - a worthy reward for all your hard work!  Many congratulations.  Onwards and upwards...  :)
