I've grown Cucino and Mini-Munch which are both similar to la diva. I grow 1 in a 22L pot in the greenhouse and it gets to about 10-12ft They send out sideshoots too and lots of tendrils. My 1 plant gets to be about 2ft wide and I pinch out the side shoots when they get to 8-10" I think 2 might end up a bit tangled. Might be an idea to raise that container off the ground a frsction so it can drain easily.

Thank you for that advice Pete, I'm in uncharted waters with cucumbers but its quite exciting at the same time. I've got a spare flower tub I can use for the other one. I'll put some pieces of tile lath under to raise it up. Thanks once again
Me again! I have only managed to make a wigwam type structure from canes for the cucumbers. I have quite a few growing now - very exciting. As I don't have a massive support is it okay to take away some of the side shoots, the ones that appear on the same part as the flower/cucumber to reduce the weight?
Hi home587, I really wish I could answer your question but I'm a complete newbie to cucumbers and am posting here with a problem of my own.
I think I may have killed one of my plants by not supplying enough shade. It's two leaves were wilted so I've cut them off, watered well (which I'd done already) and provided shade with nylon netting. I then poured water onto the hot floor to try and increase humidity. The other plant is fine, ditto the tomato and chilli plants.
Unfortunately no matter how careful we are there can be casualties, I lost one of my mini cucumber plants the other is doing fine.🙄 As for the wigwam its more likely that the weight of the plant will slide down the cane and break at soil level. Is there any way you can put horizontal support for the plants too, either canes tied in or netting to give support.
Thanks all. I have changed it all and decided, from watching some videos, to try and grow it more vertically. Have left one cane and once it gets higher will train it horizontally across the top of the greenhouse. First time growing so will be happy if I get a couple of cucumbers!
My cucumbers are growing well I think. The variety is Delistar and I'm not sure how I know when they are ready to pick. Are they quite light in colour like these photos i.e.not dark green as you buy in the supermarket? The ones at the bottom of the plant are really quite big and the ones further up the plant are tiny so far and don't seem to be growing much. Is it because everything is going into continuing to grow the ones at bottom? Any advice please?

They also mention it has pale green skin which doesn't need peeling.
They're looking good!
