    The fitting on your tap looks like it has a hose adapter screwed into the tap already, or are you sure it's all one piece?

    you can just push the new hose onto the tap which has just the right fitting already for your new hose (where the O ring is).

    The hose itself is 1/2" and the tap will have a 3/4" thread which is standard

    No leakage from the tap end which is great news.  However it leaks from the nozzle end and I know it's because I haven't pushed it down far enough.  I'll get someone stronger to sort this but in the meantime I can use it without the nozzle which I wouldn't need for my front garden anyway.
