    Tried them in pots?

I've only got 4 but no real slug issues to report.

Oddly hostas in pots in the back garden get eaten until they resemble lace.

however they stay looking perfect in their pots if I place them in the front garden.

Is the front garden drier perhaps ... not such an inviting home for slugs?
Or maybe you’ve got toads or hedgehogs frequenting the front and not the back?

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
