Low growing plant for between flagstones.
I have an area of Yorks stone flagstones and the area between them always fills up with weeds. I need something to plant that will not grow over the flags but will have some resilience to keep weeds at bay. Anybody have experience of this?

I can't think of anything that will not to some extent spill over onto your flags.
Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile) is often used and I have dwarf Greek oregano popping up in all sorts of cracks in my garden. Both will take a certain amount of foot traffic, and both smell nice too.

I planted one by my wildlife pond a couple of years ago

The chamomile nobile only grows to about 2-3" I used to have it growing between paving stones around my fish pond.
