Maybe my memory is terrible but this year seems worse for frost damage than previous. I can't remember the last time my potatoes got caught, but a few days ago the frost got the tips.

Even stranger, they're next to a cup and saucer I forgot to take in. Cup and saucer, fine. Potatoes, dead growth. Strange.

Maybe I have the world's first hardy cup and saucer. Available for purchase now!

I think we've had one light frost this year. Plants I would have expected to be annuals have survived

That's true. I have snapdragons everywhere.

On the downside, I wonder if that's why I'm seeing more pests. Aphids everywhere, all over my lupins. I've summoned hover flies, blue tits and the garden hose, and yet they still come back!

Perhaps the beautifully clear skies have something to do with it. No plane trails and less pollution to keep us warm.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I've had some strange effects here. Tomato and sweetcorn plants have been fine but potatoes, Inula and Stags Horn Sumach badly blackened. Anyway, based on the forecast, most things are going out this weekend. They're also staying out tonight so hoping the forecast is right about the temperatures!

I accidentally left morning glory plants outside last night!!! They are fine but will give them another few weeks. Everything else is going outside this weekend. I too am bored with the Hokey Cokey.
