1st time gardener full garden renovation

Hi everyone, newbie here.

I thought I would document my garden renovation so you could see my mistakes and hopefully some successes and allow me to learn a little along the way. Hopefully this is of interest to people.

so, I bought a bungalow in March 2019 with the intention to renovate and move in with my girlfriend. We had a lot of delays with planning etc (due to a modest extension) but we’re able to tackle the highly neglected garden early this year.

You can’t quite see the scale of it from the pictures but the garden was full of mounds, 3-4 feet high, rubble everywhere from decades ago and 10 meters of brambles covering the back of the garden.

this is what we bought... (roughly 35 meters to the end)

Welcome, I keep telling people bungalows ARENT just for old people.  Look forward to see more, we had a garden once, dont know how many years it hadnt been touched, the brambles were so high, we couldnt even walk down the garden for 6 weeks.  When we did, we found an air raid shelter, bonnet from a car. These 35 meters you have are they gas or electricity?Where abouts in the world are you situated?

    Thanks for all the messages.

so, the plan was (we are part way through now) to clear all the weeds, level the garden out so we can see what we have and also work out white how much rubble is under the ground.

we want a space that allows us to grow fruit and veg, a small lawn area, a pond and reasonable area for all sorts of wildlife and insects and then a greenhouse and shed.
