Alternative use for strawberry pot.

In the same vein as WillDB's https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1038482/iron-bowl-planter-thingy
I have a strawberry pot that I have never been able to use or plant up properly as whatever I seem to do the soil falls out and nothing gets established (and believe me I have tried allsorts!!).
Does anyone have a non-plant/decorative idea for it to be used for?

How about bundling up a string of solar fairy lights and putting them inside?

     That sounds like an idea!

Add a nice shallow bowl and make a bird bath out of it? Some creeping thyme would look lovely inside it...if it gets enough sun.

I would turn it on it's side and bury a third of it at a tilt in the ground, with two openings on the top. Plant something pretty, trailing or frothy and make it a spilt pot display.

I have one of these that I also struggle to use. This year's plan is to find a plastic pot that will fit snuggly into the top and plant a fern into it, then fill the base with soil up to the first hole and also plant a fern or 2 down in there. Hopefully the fern leaves will spill out through the side holes and down from the top and look great. Hopefully...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I like that idea - you could even make a round door, round windows and a sign "Hobbit hole"!
