Yep. Been digging around in my records, but have no clue what my two small blues are. Our big bush is 'Birgitta Blue' and is at least ten yrs old.
Ummm. Normally we have some brown leaves on 'pink' but yours is really doing it to excess. Yours has a lot more foliage than our pink too. Did you perhaps fertilise last year with a generic or indoor feed? Our blueberries want their own special fruit food.
Sorry Dorcascent, I’m afraid I’m of no help as I only planted by blueberry last year and haven’t a clue what I’m doing. I’ve not even started feeding mine yet.
I think your labels are mixed up, pink saphire is bigger than pink lemonade growing over 6 foot tall. Sunshine Blue is a dwarf variety that only grows 2 feet tall.
This is a pink lemonade
This is a sunshine blue
As to your problem, it could be due to a badly draining pot. They both could do with bigger pots with well draining soil and drainige holes
I'm surprised you never noticed that your Sunshine Blue blueberries were not blue, unless you don't have a pink saphire after all. The fruit should be white/pink. No blue.
Hi mrtjforman, Thank you for your input, now I am confused. Are you saying my plant labelled Pink Saphire, should produce blue fruit? It is low growing, or at least it was. Checked it again today and I am sure I have lost it. All leaves brown and withered despite watering well. I would have considered replanting it into larger pot. but don't think it is worth it now. May try again. and Seacrows, I fed it with a generic feed as the blue variety.
Hi mrtjforman, I see what your saying my dwarf plant has Sunshine Blue label and pink fruits, so I think the labels were correct after all. Pink fruit and blue in the name had thrown me, Sadly this one had died, all leaves brown and falling very crispy despite watering. I will invest in another one and plant in a larger pot and also repot the Pink sapphire. Need to do this after the fruiting season I guess. Thank you for your advise.

It's not as big as mrtjforman's pink though, so maybe I need to be thinking about repotting.
