Pampas grass for light shade - any 1st hand experience?

    The neighbours have a massive one in their garden... probably something they haven't managed to kill due to its indestructibility than availability to🏌️

    I never understood the pampas grass connotations as it is a plant you don't want to approach with any naked flesh exposed - would cut you to ribbons.

    We walk past a long-empty house with a huge pampas grass clump right outside the front living room window. It's at the top of a very steep front garden with steps down to the pavement and nearly on top of the garage that's built into the slope. Someone's going to have fun trying to remove it when the house finally changes hands!
    It's been empty for the 13 years we've lived here, such a shame as it's a detached 3 bedroomed house on a nice estate. Belongs apparently to a rather eccentric retired doctor.
