The weather forecast for next week is predicting strong winds. Mindful of this I have spent time this morning staking and tying in everything with its head above the parapet. The problem was I nudged one of the irises and snapped off a specimen flower spike. 🙁

Oh dear @BenCotto, hope you've got enough irises not to mind too much - they are looking gorgeous at the moment, aren't they.

    Went shopping this morning....
Why do so many insist on packing at the till!!.. put it back in your trolley and go do it somewhere else you selfish people!!

In most supermarkets it's always been the norm to pack at the till.  It's only Aldi and Lidl which expect you to put stuff back in the trolley and pack in a separate area.  It is a good idea though as it gets rid of those who don't even start to pack until everything has been scanned, they've searched the depths of their bags for their card, and then decided to unfold their bags.

Organise your stuff on the belt. Bottles and tins first, then vegetables spuds and heavy stuff at the front then frozen and fridge stuff , then crushables Line your bags up in the empty trolley and fill them. How hard is that?

To be fair..I like the wand thing that Asda have..I put stuff straight into my bags as I'm shopping then pay at the terminal.
It doesn't help I have zero patience with queues..any queue. I drive miles out of my way to avoid traffic queues or get to airports stupidly early to avoid security queues.
Sounds like you should have home delivery

Why is it usually men that have no patience to queue?  Discuss!

I sometimes work on the till, and it's certainly NOT just men.

He could enjoy virtual queueing then😉
Speaking of queueing, I could never understand why people would queue outside a restaurant. I'd rather have a bag of crisps on a wet park bench in January - unless they were salt and vinegar😝

It's not difficult, but very few people do it.  I was in the queue - in Aldi - and the guy in front of me was taking an eternity trying to decide which bag to put which item into.  In that Aldi they are normally very good with slow packers, but the lady on the till did finally tell him to put everything into the trolley and pack over on the benches.
I do things precisely in the sequence you have given.  I was actually complimented once at my speed of packing by the till operator.
