Bats catch in your hair, and lots of hedgerow berries means we're in for a harsh winter.

Yes eating green potatoes can make you very ill indeed. Children are particularly susceptible to the toxins, and if eaten during pregnancy green potatoes can cause spina bifida in the foetus ... so go on, pooh pooh the warnings if you choose to, like Trump said COVID was no worse than flu .... maybe you’d like to try his recommendations for a cure as well and then you can let us know the effect of inhaling or injecting Domestos.  😉

Someone once told me that jumping out of planes without a parachute was dangerous ... but I’ve not seen any evidence ... although apparently scientists have done experiments ... but why should I take any notice of experts?

If you ate enough of them perhaps. I did read once the EU would have banned potatoes if they were discovered today!

Don't forget never put rhubarb leaves on the compost. Despite the fact oxalic acid will break down quickly in the compost heap and you would have to eat about 10 lb of sour leaves to get seriously ill from eating them.
  • Maybe stop reading the Daily Mail @GemmaJF 😂 I'm sure the members of the European Parliament love a bowl of chips with some nice mussels too.

Accusing someone of reading the Daily Mail is a bit steep @amancalledgeorge😉

Never read the Daily Mail in my life. Best not to judge others from one's own low standards.  :p

Wonder when POTUS will come up with a solution to the green potato problem by telling the farmers of Idaho to bleach them .... or maybe sunlight will cure them 🤔

  • I did some research into this a while back when my husband was refusing to believe me. The consensus seemed to be that it does make you sick but very few people actually die from eating them (some do, for example in famine conditions where people might eat a lot of them). A quick google suggests that the spina bifida link has been discredited though.
