Should I split!
A couple of years ago I bought a viburnum and this year I have noticed another plant is growing through the viburnum. There there are two different flower heads as shown in the attached pictures. It looks as though the roots of both plants are growing together. Can anyone identify the other plant and should I separate them both after flowering?

The two stems against my fingers belong to the plant I don’t recognise. The stem in the middle belongs to the viburnum I bought. Sorry yes the orange flower is a different plant. You can tell from the leaves of the two plants how different they are. I hope the picture is clearer showing the stems of each plant.
Very risky...I would be tempted to dig it up , wash of the soil and try to split one from the other.
They normally graft Viburnum on Viburnum opulus......in this case, neither are that one.
2nd pic on left is the correct Viburnum x carlcephalum.....as per label.

Looks about right
That fits perfectly.
In that case it is grafted and the Viburnum lantana suckers must be removed asap.
Viburnum lantana...common name the wayfarer or wayfaring tree.
Should be planted more in hedgerows .
The birds love the berries.
