Is it along a fence @MartineB? If so - attach some wires on vine eyes at several heights, and you can train it back and forth along it. I did that in a previous garden and it gives you good coverage. They don't need pruning really, unless they're getting too out of control, so you'll have a good framework there all year round, and a good expanse of flowers
