M&S foodhall have free seeds. Supposed to spend £20 on food but I spent less and the girl said I could take up to 6 as they are trying to get rid. I took 2 as I thought there’s a mix of seeds in each box. It’s one in each box and you have no idea what you get. There are pansy, Viola, forget me not, basil, parsley, lettuce, chilli, beetroot, radish, pepper, carrot and micro cress.

And mine are coming on a treat @Skylarks ! I had great fun with the expanding compost and (though I am already growing many of these) I just love seeing the seeds sprout  :)

Edited to say:  Took some only after both Grandsons had more than they needed!

  • I love the free seeds it’s a good opportunity to try growing something different at only the cost of the compost.
    keep them coming GW 🤪

@herbaceous, I was a bit confused when I opened them to find a disc inside. I’ll look forward to playing with them. Growing things from seeds are always exciting.

Make sure the disc is in a large dish @Skylarks it grows 10 times as big!  As good as those indoor fireworks I remember as a child  :D

Ok, thanks for the tip @herbaceous. I’ve not read the instructions yet and thought you keep the disc in the cardboard. That would have been a sight 😂

Just pricked out my Maskotka tomatoes, got 28 healthy plants so pretty good going for free seeds! I actually bought gardeners delight seeds but didn’t bother sowing them as the free ones were doing so well so I gave those for next year. I have enough for the greenhouse and a big tub at home and some to give away so it’s a win win!

Just received my May GW Mag, chose not to have the seeds. Now looking through the book to see where we can go.
